My iphone 6s plus died and now its been two day on the charger

What a crock! You have a 5 year old phone that needs a new battery. Batteries are expendables; they don’t last forever. 5 years is actually very impressive; most people need to replace their batteries after 2-3 years. Apple will replace the battery for $49. Where does the $1,000 number come from?

Must be a huge "coincidence" that EVERYBODY'S 6S battery died in the same week, the week they rolled out an IOS update. Everyone knows Apple does this, and I sure wouldn't be complaining if it was just my phone, but there's clearly something else going on and the least they could have done was warn us.

Cost of an Iphone 11 in Canada, $1,106 with tax, Battery replacement $73 plus a 45 min drive to the nearest Apple store.

It's not the cost of the $25 battery which I ordered on Amazon & will replace myself tonight, it's the principle.

This has happened to myself, my neighbor, my friend, and my colleague all within the last week, all on a 6S.

This is not a battery problem, this is an Apple "haha we're killing your phones so you're forced to spend $1,000 on a newer one"

If they have an ounce of morals they will reverse whatever they did ASAP.

iPhone 6s is like 5 years old! How do you expect a battery to last 5 years! Blackberrys were the only devices that seemed to make it past 3, but 5? Do you even know of an Android that will retain its battery after 5 years?

Nothing you can do but replace the battery at your expense.

I agree with a lot of the posts here. The symptoms you describe sounds like a complete battery failure. An iOS device simply won't fully power on if it doesn't sense a working battery, although it will display the red battery icon when given enough power from an external power supply.

Now if a battery service doesn't fix it, then your options short of paying for a service replacement are third party repair.
