4K HDR thru AirPlay 2

I would like to know if is possible to rent a 4k HDR movie thru the tv app on my iPad Pro and stream it on my TV in 4K HDR. My TV supports AirPlay 2.

Short answer: Yes, that is possible.

Regular screen mirroring via AirPlay is limited to HD 1080p, but basic AirPlay should “forward” the stream in the resolution the receiving device can handle, including 4K. (Note that apps on iOS and iPadOS can flip between AirPlay modes: You can start screen mirroring, and then will switch to basic AirPlay for content playback, if so programmed by the developer.)
