Sync Error: "Limelight" was not copied to the iPhone "iPhone" because it could not be found.

iPhone X / 13.3.1 / Model #MQAF2VC/A / using iTunes 12.10.4.2 / Lenovo W10 1909 build 18363.657

Everything was working fine until I tried to sync this morning (Feb 16) and received the subject error:

"Limelight" was not copied to the iPhone "Matthew's iPhone" because it could not be found.

Press "OK' and a second dialogue box tells me that sync failed.

Reinstalled iTunes, rebooted iPhone and PC: no love. Googling produces nothing on this error.

Any ideas what's going on with this?

Solved!

These two issues were discrete.

The first had to do with a wayward song in my iTunes; it was a stand-alone error unrelated to the backup failure. I solved this by simply removing the offending song from my library.

The second issue relating to the backup was solved by user ShinnTech here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251027888

It was being caused by the Ransomware protection in the new version of MalwareBytes v. 4.0.4. Simply toggle Ransomware protection off for syncing until a fix is proved by MalwareBytes.
