Someone tried to sign in my Apple ID

Good evening,

Someone tried to sign in my Apple account. I got the message on the phone about the location and if I "allow" or "don't allow".

Of course that I pressed "Don't allow" as the person who tried to sign in is from Dubai (and I'm from Romania). I also changed my password.

Am I safe?

P.S.: I don't use my Apple ID on sites. Also have two verification.

Oops! I said that incorrectly the first time. Yes, someone did know your password. Fortunately, 2FA kept them out of your account be requiring the confirmation code you denied.

It would normally be very difficult (more like nearly impossible) for anyone to correctly guess a complex password in the limited number of tries you get before the account is locked.

Whoever this someone is, they had to have already known your account ID and password. So there's a good chance it's someone you know. Either way, changing the password was a very good thing to do.
