I am trying to share a DVD in Final Cut Pro X, but it keeps stopping at 66% complete. I don't get any error messages, it just freezes.
When I cancel the sharing process it says: The share operation “DVD: “Test film.m2v.m2v”” has failed.
I find this really odd because the file says m2v two times.
How can i resolve this problem?

You could try, as a test, exporting a master file in ProRes, bring it back into an FCP project and see if it will create a disk image.
What are the complete specs of the media? It looks like this file needs to be either converted or rewrapped before being imported. There may be other problems as well related to the the disc creation process, especially as it fails at 66%, when the disc is being authored.

I've read a lot regarding the 66% fail issue, yet nothing has resolved my problem.
The media use is a .m4v file (Apple MPEG-4-movie) and has H.264, AAC codecs, I've tried converting it to .mov files but that didn't do the trick.
I've also tried some different settings in my FCP project but it didn't change anything,
and there are no further updates available for either FCP or macOS.
That's exactly what I am so confused about, I don't use m2v files anywhere.
I just tried to use avchd as media but the same problem appeared.
I think the system tries to convert my media into m2v files so it can ben used to burn it to a DVD?
My OS version is: 10.15.3 (19D76) and FCP version is: 10.4.8
Got some progress, now I get this error when the sharing is completed: "Create Disc Quit unexpectedly while using the Author Script plugin."
It generates me this folder:
I've tried burning this folder by right-clicking on it and choosing 'burn disc' and that worked , but I cannot play it...
What’s the.m2v file? What OS and FCP versions are you using?
Oh ok, do you have any more suggestions of things I can try out?
I've tried it did not work out (got the same m2v problem), can it be that I mess up my settings or maybe the type of DVD I use?

The system does that to create DVD but the double suffix is odd and looks like there’s something wrong with the original.
