macOS Catalina with server 5.79 file sharing Group permissions problem

hello to all,

I'm re-opening this thread previousely called "macOS Mojave with server 5.7.1file sharing Group permissions problem :-(".

The problem then was permissions did not propagate well with file sharing server and when a file or folder was modified the premissions were to, needing repated permission propagations to subfolders to restablish proper sharing.

Well I'm finding the same problem with MacOs 10.15.3 Catalina and Server 5.9.

The terminal command that worked really well with Mojave was the following:

"sudo chmod -R + a "group: REPLACE_WITH_YOURGROUP_NAME: allow readattr, writeattr, readextattr, writeextattr, readsecurity, list, search, add_file, add_subdirectory, delete_child, file_inherit, directory_inherit" REPLACE_WITH_PATH_TO_PARENT_SHARED_FOLDER"

But sadly that doesn't seem to work anymore.

Does anyone know of corrections to be made to the command or if there is any other solution?

Thanks for the help,

Mark
