Health App / Activity App not syncing with my Apple Watch

My Health App and Activity App on my iPhone stopped syncing with my Apple Watch this morning.


I have an iPhone 8 iOS 13.3.1 and an Apple Watch 3


I've turned my watch off and back on and also the same for my phone. Checked settings that I found on a discussion here:


Make sure the following features are enabled: Open the Settings app > Privacy > Motion & Fitness > Turn on Fitness Tracking and Health (do the same with your watch) On the same Privacy page, tap on Location Services > System Services > enable Calibration & Distance.


The settings are all correct.


Any suggestions are appreciated.

Problem Solved


I noticed that my watch wasn't getting my text messages. I turned off my watch "again" (I did this previously) and this time when I turned it back on my watch was syncing with my phone ... all is well.


It annoyed me that turning off & on again didn't work the first time. Many problems will get fixed by only having to turn off the device and then back on.

You can try this;

Close the Activity app on the iPhone

On your watch: go the Home screen

(single press of the Digital Crown) and tap on

the Activity app icon (coloured rings).

Press firmly on the screen > tap on Change

your Move Goal > change the goal.
