Please bring the editing magnifier back to the keyboard tools!

I've taken a poll of fat-fingered iPhone users. The results:

81% [3% error] of fat-fingered users now find their iPhones harder to use! The loss of the little cursor-placement magnifier from the keyboard editing tools has made living the Text Lifestyle much more difficult for us. Please bring back the magnifier!

My fingers are fat, and I approve this message.

Not a matter of habit at all. More like a lack of knowledge. The short "explainer" that announced the new "magnetic for word-ends" behavior did not offer your explanation. I did a fair bit of searching for alternate methods of placing the cursor in the middle of a word, without getting a useful hit. Thanks for providing an explanation that works - something the original announcement I read failed to do.

Adding to the confusion was erratic behavior of the cursor when attempting to manipulate it directly. I was occasionally able to place the cursor mid-word by sliding it directly, though more often not. Which led me to believe it was a matter of using, say, a particular pressure on the cursor. I was unable to get consistent results with any pressure I tried. And as I originally mentioned, even when I did find I could move it through a word, I couldn't tell where it was, exactly. GRRRR!!

In addition to what Proust provided, it would help you a lot if you read this link from 9 to 5 Mac about the new gestures --> https://9to5mac.com/2019/06/12/gestures-undo-ios-iphone-ipad/

Ps: Asking for the magnifyer back on this forum won't get Apple's attention at all. This is user to user only. Apple isn't reading these threads for suggestions.
