My iPod Classic doesn't show up in music in OS Catalina?

I updated to Catalina and now my iPod Classic won't show up in Music? Any ideas?

Can I sync my iPod Classic? Is it possible to continue to synch music on my iPod Classic after upgrading the software on my MacBook Pro? When I connect the iPod, it shows up on the desktop but not in Music and there is no synching.

ipod classic running Catalina 10.15.3 on my Mac. "Music" app (formerly iTunes) sees my ipod but does not sync any music.
