How can I manage which trusted devices receive verification codes?

When using two-factor authorization, my verification codes get sent to my daughter's phone, my wife's phone, my phone, etc. This is overkill and disruptive for them. How can I specify which devices to send codes to when I am logging in?

If you are sharing an Apple ID, you can't unless you remove their phone numbers from the ID. If you did that, then they wouldn't get codes when they were signing in. Apple IDs aren't meant to be shared. You might consider using separate IDs and setting up Family Sharing.

You are welcome. Maybe the below will help the reset with the new ID.

When changing to the new ID, there may be some data loss, but you can minimize it. If syncing photos with iCloud, ensure Optimization is turned off in Settings/Your Name/iCloud/Photos and/or in Photos/Preferences/iCloud. Then make sure full resolution photos are on the device/computer. When signing out of iCloud, if asked whether you want to retain data, choose yes. Messages conversations will be lost if they are addressed to the ID. See the article below for other places that the old ID should be removed. See Winston Churchill's response in the below discussion.
