Viewing Mail, cursor causes display of HTML

A minor annoyance I want to stop. When viewing Mail on my MacBook Pro (Catilinlia), if my cursor rolls over an image within the message, a grey box pops up displaying a large blocks of HTML code. This usually obscures reading parts of the message. Why? I have to move cursor away from message body to see entire e-mail. How do you turn off this undocumented feature? If I wanted to view the underlying HTML code, there are other ways to accomplish it. Pop-up HTML blocks are not user friendly to reading mail.

I would double check your >System Preferences>Trackpad

Have you made any adjustment to make the trackpad work for you better?

To suit your needs —

Hello, PFortman!

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities! I understand you are having issues with viewing your email. I am here to help.

Is this happening in the Mac Mail app or another app? Does this occur when viewing the mail through your browser?

If in the Mail app, does this occur in multiple accounts or just one?

Let us know and we can go from there.

I hope you have a great night.

Cheers!
