It was key flicks..... went to general keyboard key flicks and sure enough, it was on so I toggled it off and voila! No more grey ghost numbers! Yeah

I’m going to assume this is the software (screen) keyboard. Not an external physical keyboard, such as the keyboard cover, or a Bluetooth keyboard.

This likely isn’t key flicks. None of the errors shown here match a key flick on any soft keyboard i’ve checked.

A hardware problem is certainly possible, but unlikely. This is more likely simply pressing the wrong soft key; finger positioning. Why finger positioning? All of the typos shown in this thread are closely adjacent keypresses. All the errors here are consistently slightly above and slightly left.

(Some of the same errors I’ve also made. Y’all will have seen me sometimes missing the spacebar, and hitting the comma.)

This is going to involve a trip to the Apple Store for a look at the hardware and at the typing, and a careful look at the finger positions. Possibly with the iPad located flat, if it’s not already flat when typing. Or maybe this involves switching over to a physical, external, keyboard cover or Bluetooth keyboard, if the soft keyboard is problematic here.
