How can I disable the MAIL APP on my iPhone X

How can I disable the MAIL APP on my iPhone X without also disabling my email account at Apple? Can I simply delete the App?


With all the downgrading that Apple has done to MAIL on the desktops, I switched to Outlook and would like to use that across all my devices (iPhone, iPad and iMac).

According to this article:

Delete built-in Apple apps on your iOS 12, iOS 13, or iPadOS device or Apple Watch - Apple Support

you can delete the Mail app. It should not affect your Apple ID or your iCloud email account. To still see your iClopiud emails in another (Outlook) app, see:

Mail server settings for iCloud email clients - Apple Support
