Sony digital movie camera to iMac

I have a Sony Digital Video Camera DCR-TRV240 that recorded videos on Hi8 tapes. I want to transfer the recorded videos to my iMac, but cannot find out what cable will connect the camera to the iMac (using Catalina). My iMac is a 2019, but I also have a 2012 iMac available.

For most tape based cameras you would use a firewire cable with a 6 pin connector to plug into your Mac and a 4 pin connector to plug in to your camcorder. Take a look at this link that discusses cables:

You may need to use adapters to conform to the available sockets on your computer.
