Is there a roku app for apple tv?
I have the Apple TV HD and am looking at the different streaming services available. I noticed that there is an Apple TV+ app for the Roku, was wondering if things went the other way as well.

Yeah, I've done that, even been to the Roku website, too much conflicting information, and most of it doesn't have a date associated, so you don't know how old it is, or if things have changed. I found one site that said YouTube TV isn't on ATV, when I know it is. The other confusion is Apple's decision to name its web streaming service the same as its device, so that just ads to the confusion on the web.
You can't subscribe to YouTube TV from an ATV any longer. Once you subscribe, you can log in on your ATV. Google did this so they don't have to pay the 20% to Apple.
But, no, there doesn't seem to be a Roku app for the ATV.

If you have a smart TV, you might be able to download the Roku app to that.

Really? I must be missing something then. I went to File Explorer, because I use that on my ATV to access my Time Capsule, where I have all my music and movies. I don't see anything on the Mac App Store that indicates an ATV version.
Looking in the Mac App Store won't tell you anything. There are no iOS/tvOS apps listed there. You either need to use the iOS App Store or do a search in a web browser.
In the iOS App Store, if there is an ATV app, it will indicate it. If there is no ATV app, it won't say anything.

Look for one in the App Store.
If I were home, near the ATV I would, but I'm not, so I thought I would ask here. I see one on my MBP App Store, but that doesn't mean there is one in the ATV store.
You can look up apps in the IOS app store or by searching online. It will then show if an Apple TV version is available. It doesn't look like there is one for the Roku app.
Okay, thanks. I knew about the subscription to YT, but there is a app for it on ATV, thought Roku might be the same.
The Roku Express ins $29.99 on Amazon. It can often be picked up for less.
