Weird audio playback on screen recordings

Hello,

I screen record lots of gameplay and video on my Macbook Pro 16-inch using Quicktime player. Since Soundflower isn't compatible with Catalina, I've been using BlackHole for sound. Randomly when I do recordings, the audio on the recorded video will be distorted and sound completely messed up. This is happening no matter what audio routing software I use.

I never once had this issue with older Macbook Pro models using soundflower. It also only seems to happen with Quicktime as I've tested out other screen recording programs and had no issues. It happens on average every 1 out of four videos. The sound is perfectly fine when capturing, only in playback is it distorted. Any idea what could be causing this in Quicktime and if there is a possible fix?
