compass app And battery issue on Apple Watch 5

I have a Apple Watch 5 (40mm). When I turn the compass app on it opens fine. Then I swipe and close the app like how we close apps normally. However after some time when I turn my wrist to check time it shows me the compass app is still running. I have to hard boot or restart the watch to permanently close compass app. Due to the compass app running in the background it is draining my battery pretty fast. I am talking with Apple suport for over a month but no resolution so far and the watch is not even 90 days old. also visited Apple store and they kept the watch for 5 days and returned saying sorry could not resolve. A customer should not have to spend that much time on supprt. Might be easier just to replace since it’s in warranty.Extremely disappointed with Apple!
