iCloud doesn't sync old files to iMac ( Catalina fresh install )

Hello,

iCloud drive is active and working on iPhone and MBP, but ever since I reinstalled Catalina on Saturday on iMac, the Files do not start to sync. There is a grey cloud icon next to Documents and Desktop folder, when i scroll over it it says "Waiting to upload". That hasn't changed in two days.

I saved a an empty Pages file to iCloud Drive to see if it would show up across the devices, but it did not.

My storage has space and files are visible when I login online to iCloud.

I have tried everything from the Access iCloud Drive files from your iPhone and other devices - Apple Support but no luck.

iMac 27", macOS 10.15

I feel confident that you have done things correctly. Regardless, here is the basic info on using iCloud Drive. Please see if it helps you. The document has been updated for Catalina.

Add your Desktop and Documents files to iCloud Drive https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT206985

Oh, and you could try signing out and back in to iCloud.com, restarting your machine, and re-enabling the sync process on your Catalina machine.

Try going to System Preferences/Apple ID and stop iCloud Drive syncing by unchecking the box. Wait a couple of minutes, then check syncing. Allow time for the sync to complete.

I tried that DonV, but to no success. new files are there, but older are not. Also added Desktop and Documents to Icloud Drive before.
