Bootcamp does not like bluetoothed mice.

Bluetooth does not work on my MacBook Pro 15" (2017) running Bootcamp Windows 10. Apparently I'm in good company searching for solutions to connect a mouse via bluetooth. I've tried them all without success. It has wasted many hours of my time. There is no hardware problem. Apple says it is a Microsoft issue and vice versa. When I first purchased the Macbook Pro, my bluetooth mouse worked fine on Bootcamp. The intellectual talent at Microsoft and Apple should be able to easily resolve this problem. Is there a solution available beyond the informal, ineffective suggestions already published?

Thanks for the the rapid reply.

Here is the list:

  • Full shut down and restart.
  • Turn Bluetooth off and on.
  • Update Windows drivers with Windows Update.
  • Update Bootcamp drivers.
  • Unpair the mouse on OSX, reboot, attempted to pair on Windows.
  • Disabled the power management setting for Bluetooth radio properties.
  • reset NVRAM and PRAM.
  • Tried different mice (Apple Magic Mouse, Microsoft 3600, Logitech Master 3, Logitech M535)
  • Removed Bluetooth and mouse devices and re-installed.
  • Set Bluetooth startup to automatic in Bluetooth support services properties.
  • ran the Windows troubleshooter.
  • Removed all the mice devices in Device Manager and re-booted.

This would be a typical example of the external posts on the issue:

Most suggest some form of the above.

Completed your suggestions (e.g. disconnected the Logitech Mouse and Unifying receiver, disconnected all USB peripherals, reset SMC and NVRAM). There was no change in the behaviour of the pairing process. The device appears in the list but does not connect. After about 1 minute, the message "Try connecting your device again appears".

Incidentally, thanks for your assistance with this problem.
