EXTREMELY LONG iPhone repair time. How is yours?

So I've had a horrible time with my repair so far. I sent my iPhone in on the 11th and it arrived on the 12th. They were to swap my phone for a new/refurbished one because of overheating issue that happens while hardwired charging and on phone calls. I was informed that most repairs take only 3-5 days. On the 13th the repair went on hold because they were waiting on a part, and I immediately expected a delay.

I was informed that diagnostic maintenance was probably being done and that it shouldn't take very long and they are still within the 5-7 day guarantee. 5-7?! I thought it was 3-5...oh well. I can wait.

It has now been 9 business days without any Change in the repair status that put the iPhone on hold; which has nothing to do with the repair that I requested.

I have been without my iPhone for 10 of my business days. I know they only count normal business days, but I'm a business man who works heavily on my iPhone and I work all week long! I have now had to push MY clients back and am losing reputation and credibility!

It gets worse....

So now when I call in to get any update (the online thing hasn't shown an update since the 13th...today is the 24th!) I am told the part that was supposed to get done this week (today) might take up to an extra 2 days. If that were true and they DID finish it on the 24th (today) I might not get my iPhone back until the 28th!

They are now outside of the 5-7 guarantee that was made to me a few days ago. What am I told now? Oh, our guarantee is 7-10!

This is completely unacceptable! It just keeps getting longer and longer. They just keep telling me to wait! I have waited!

I paid $1150 for an iPhone that was overheating like one of those cheap phones! After waiting for their shipments to speed up, thinking that would reflect repairs too, I send it in and have now been out of an iPhone that might come back un-repaired for the issue I was having.

So the question I have is...

How long have your repair been taking?

My usual repair take no longer than 3 days. I normally have my local guy repair things and he calls me when the part arrives, I bring it in, and walk out with a fixed an iPhone in 3 hours later for any of its problems, etc.

I am very upset and am regretting ever sending this thing in! I want them to swap that out and give me a new iPhone!

This is ridiculous!
