How do I get rid of search85642244-a.akamaihd.net? Instructions found on web not helping.

My Chrome browser has been hijacked by this, and I cannot find usable instructions to get rid of it. When I follow the instructions I have found so far, the files it tells me to look for I don't have. When it tells me to look for certain processes running on activity monitor, the ones I'm supposed to look out for aren't there. I've downloaded a couple different of these scan programs they say can find and remove it, but so far nothing. I had one manage to quarantine some suspicious files, but it didn't solve the problem. I've even uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome, but that didn't work either. My Chrome browser still won't let me change my default search engine. Can someone give me better instructions on which files I do need to look for to remove?
