MP4 from PC to Iphone

I just switched to Iphone since the android device i used had compatibility issues with certain apps and problems with sending video files through messenger, or any other app for that matter. Always giving the reciver wierd glitches etc. I always wondered why i couldnt use any other transfering service, but apperently they couldnt download the files. I do a lot of video work for instagram etc. I thought this would be solved since i switched. Now that i swithced device i cant dowload 70mb files from my mail. I can't save the files from my google drive to my photogallery, i can't dowload the files from icloud drive. I cant download my files from any other online filetransfering service. If i click the right buttons in some random way the "Save to device" decides to show up for a brief moment. I click it and nothing happens, and it disappears. The drives work when i send images and they get dowloaded to my photogallery even though its extremly inconvenient, when i should just be able to press "download" straight from my mail. I searched the internet and apparently there are no easy way of transfering files. Or is it, im honestly fairly frustrated and since i cant figure it out, im guessing few others can. Thanks.

Email providers have strict limits on the size of attachments. This has nothing to do with an iPhone, or an Android phone. Usually the limit is 10 MB.

There are many, many ways of transferring larger files:

  • Save the file to iCloud (https://icloud.com) from a computer and it will be available on your phone in the Files app
  • Dropbox - has an iPhone app
  • Box.com - has an iPhone app
  • Google Drive - has an iPhone app
  • Microsoft OneDrive - has an iPhone app
  • Livedrive Briefcase - has an iPhone app
  • If the file is coming from another Apple device, you can use Mail Drop—>Mail Drop limits - Apple Support

Hi there, Saetrum,

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities. I understand that you're having trouble managing videos on your iPhone, specifically in getting them from your Windows PC to your iPhone. I'm happy to help!

There are several ways you can get videos and pictures to your iPhone from your computer, depending on where the videos and pictures are stored (on your computer, on a third party storage site, etc). Check out the following Apple Support articles to see if they help managing your videos:

Work with email attachments on iPhone - Apple Support

Use the Files app on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Use iTunes to share files between your computer and your iOS or iPadOS device – Apple Support

Set up and use iCloud for Windows - Apple Support

Access and view iCloud Photos on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

If you're following these steps and still cannot get videos and pictures to your phone, make sure you have enough storage available: How to check the storage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support.

In addition, you may find the following information provided by Google helpful in managing videos and pictures saved within Google Photos: Download photos or videos to your device - iPhone & iPad - Google Photos Help.

Should you still have trouble getting pictures to your iPhone, don't hesitate to respond back.

Best!
