I can not delete smart mail boxes.

I can not delete smart mail boxes. Deleted by right clicking, then closed Mail. Reopened Mail and all of the deleted smart mailboxes reappeared. Tried changing Names and rules. Closed mail and reopened, old names and rules reappeared. Deleted com.apple.mail.plist from system library. No change. Using MacPro5.1 running MacOS 10.13.6, 32 GB ram. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Mail "On My Mac" & Smart Mailboxes have issues with MacOS 10.15.6 Upgrade. After I set up Smart Mailboxes following an upgrade to MacOS 10.15.6 and quit Mail, the Smart Mailboxes disappear when Mail restarts. I also cannot re-import saved mbox files to mail "On My Mac" folders because Mail locks up. Anyone else having these issues?

Smart Mailboxes disappears shortly after I create them It is a random issue. It happened before when I had Monterrey and now it happens again with Ventura (running V 13.2). I create a mailbox, it disappears, I do it again and again until I give up. What am I doing wrong. My Mac Mini is running on M1

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?

Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.

After upgrading to Mojave smart mailboxes appear to work properly now. As I recall I did try the safe mode boot and that did not clear the issue.

Will try. Been in process of upgrading to Mojave. Will give update after that is accomplished. Problems with getting PCIe SSD Drive recognized.
