MacBook 12” Retina constantly freezes all of a sudden. Any help appreciated!!
Hi all,
I have a MacBook 12” Retina. All of a sudden over the past few weeks it has started to completely freeze intermittently, completely bricking at random intervals. Most of the time the screen is frozen still however a few times the screen has gone completely black with a thin red vertical line on the left hand side of the screen. Sometimes it will run for hours without freezing and other times it freezes instantly upon or during booting.
I have tried a few of the typical solutions, booting in safe mode, running disk diagnostics, resetting RAM, antivirus scanning and so on but to no avail. It seemed to coincide with my upgrading to Catalina but I couldn’t say for certain.
Has anyone run into a similar problem or can point me in the right direction? I’m at a loss at where to go next short of putting it in for repair.
Thanks in advance and any help is appreciated,
Sam.
