Why won’t my green exercise ring not turn off?

Thanks but let me clarify....it is non-stop, even during sleep. I woke up and the green ring had circled about 5 times.
Is this going to reset all of my data? This watch is only a week old and am wondering if I should replace?

Try this;
To force reset your Apple Watch, press and hold both the side button and Digital Crown for about 10 seconds or until the apple logo appears, then release both buttons when you see the Apple logo.

You cannot turn it off,it is a part of the activity app on the watch it is for recording your excercise.

No this doesn't affect your data in any way it resets the watch's settings in case something has become corrupt.
