I added pictures from my computer to my iPhone using iTunes. There was a specific folder that I used.
I no longer want those pictures on my iPhone but don't know how to get rid of them. I can't erase them on my computer and when I tried in iTunes, it didn't work.
Any ideas?
You have to go back to iTunes, while the iPhone is connected to the computer. Go to the Photo tab, and remove the checkmark by the folder that you have synced to the iPhone, then sync the phone again. That will remove the folder from the phone.
I made a folder on the desktop and synced to that. Deleted the folder and the pictures are still in photos on my phone
Nope. I tried that. The photos are still there.
Did that and the photos are still there.

The photos app will not let me delete them. There is no trash can when I select one of these photos.

You may be right. I did have the photos and videos i synced in a folder on the desktop and not from the photos app. Deleted that folder and yet they persist.
