You have no “right” to a darn cent. And if your phone got slow just replace the battery. Here is the history of why Apple slowed down devices that had weak batteries, to prevent the device from shutting down in the middle of something important that you were doing—>https://www.cnet.com/news/apple-is-slowing-down-older-iphones-batteries-faq/
And here is Apple’s direct explanation—>iPhone Battery and Performance - Apple Support
See specifically the section on “Preventing unexpected shutdowns."
If you are referring to the class action suit that has been in the news here is what you need to know:
Apple Slowdown tentative settlement detai… - Apple Community
If you had an iPhone in 2017-2018 you MIGHT be eligible for a payout after the suit is settled, probably in 2-3 years. The court has a list of users who might be eligible; if you are you will be notified at that time.
There is no $25.
If you wish to fix your phone issue, replace the battery.

For all of the good people in this thread who don’t know how to read a 2+ page thread from the beginning, here is everything you need to know:

If you are interested in actually fixing your now obsolete phone, have the battery checked, and replaced if necessary.

If you are only interested in $25, see: Apple Slowdown tentative settlement detai… - Apple Community
You may just need a new battery.
Thank you for sharing that. Have you considered getting a new battery?
You wait for the court case to be final in the next few years and then see if you qualify for a refund.

You are not eligible. You must have had the phone in 2017 and had the problem then. Enjoy whatever phone you get.
Try reading this one more time.

Your battery hasn’t reached the 80% threshold.
slow took me an hour to write this
Really? An hour?
If you bothered to read the thread, you'd see you don't, you can't, it isn't even an approved settlement.
That has nothing to do with this settlement. You need to have your battery replaced.
You don't have any such "right".
Nothing has been announced yet regarding how this will work. Apple does not participate here. This is a user to user support forum. We know nothing more than you know right now.
