Apple Email on an Amazon Fire

Tried multiple times to access my Apple email on my Amazon Fire. I sign in to icloud with my ID and password and it takes me to a page to set up my iPhone. Someone suggested using an app specific password so I set that up and used the app specific password. It tells me that password is incorrect. So I tried my regular password and I 'm back at the "set up my iPhone page. Any suggestions?

I want to generate an app specific password to allow my new Mail app to connect to my iCloud email. I login easily to my Apple ID account. I move down to Security and to APP-SPECIFIC PASSWORDS I select Generate password. I enter the name of the app and I am then prompted to re-enter my iCloud password. This is surely the same password that I use to access my Apple ID account in the first place? I say thus because it returns Incorrect Password and hence will NOT generate the password that I need to add iCould email to my new email app. What is the problem please? Thanks John

App specific password generation process is not working The process for generating app specific password has worked in the past but does not seem to work any more. Message I get: Your app ID or password is incorrect. The Apple ID is a .com address. The devices I used to setup email are MacOS and iPhone. What am I missing?

Why won’t the email password work? A week and a half ago, my husband’s email quit updating on his iPhone and his iPad. It kept telling him to enter his password. I changed it numerous times, checked the settings, called at&t support and nothing worked. AT&T support escalated the issue to another level, but it’s been over a week and no one got back to me. I deleted the account today and re-added it with the same results. I finally downloaded a separate app for the email, but I’m not that happy with it. Any ideas why this is happening?

You use the mail app on the Amazon Fire. As noted, you will need to use an app-specific password rather than the usual Apple password. The following has information on other settings for settings to use for the Fire's mail app: Mail server settings for iCloud email clients - Apple Support
