Iphone's Wifi hotspot has trouble staying connected to MMDVM hotspots

Hello, for those who don't know what an MMDVM hotspot is, it is a repeater-like device used in the amateur radio realm for talking via digital modes. Ever since at least IOS 13, the iPhones (mine is an iPhone XR) wifi hotspot have had trouble both connecting and staying connected to these MMDVM hotspots. They have a Raspberry Pi 0 built on with a MMDVM hat board mounted on top. I'm curious if there is a fix in the works for this? Has Apple been made aware of this issue?

The hotspot will connect initially but the Iphone's hotspot (blue oval in the top left corner) will drop the connection after 15-30 seconds. Thank you.

If I understand your post correctly, you are able to connect your device to your Personal Hotspot using your iPhone but the connection drops. I’d like to help.

Follow the steps in this article:

If Personal Hotspot is not working on your iPhone or iPad (Wi-Fi + Cellular)

Thank you very much for the response. I have tried what you mentioned in the link above but it will still drop the connection. Many amateur radio enthusiasts who have Iphones have these issues as well. It seems like the newer iphones have these issues the most and the latest version of IOS seems to have made it worse. Any other suggestions you could offer? Thank you.
