Notification not working on WiFi

Hello,

since today push notifications of all my apps are notre working on my WiFi, however they are working on others phones in the same WiFi network, they also work on my cellular network or when I am on vpn on the same WiFi ? My WiFi settings are the same so the issue must be on the iPhone. Help please

Hello Benjiyac,

If I'm understanding you right, you're not receiving push notifications for any of your apps when connected to Wi-Fi unless you're also connected to your VPN. I'm happy to help you out with this.

Since the issue is only occurring with push notifications while on Wi-Fi and doesn't happen when connected to cellular data, it may be possible that firewalls or proxy servers are to blame. I recommend reviewing the following support article to see if any information there helps: If your macOS and iOS clients aren't getting Apple push notifications. You may need to work with your internet service provider to ensure you're getting an unprovided connection to the ports listed in that article.

Double Check a few things-

  1. Ensure that your iPhone makes connection to WiFi networks. You can do this by connecting to a WiFi network and then load a page in Safari. Confirm connection with the WiFi symbol on your iPhone. I want to make sure whether WiFi works for everything else (Stream Audio/Video etc) and just doesn't work for Push Notifications.
  2. If you have not then try➔ Force ReStarting your iPhone.
  3. If the above does not work then Reset your Network Settings by going to Settings➔General➔ResetReset Network Settings

If none of this works then a visit to the Apple Store is a good idea.

Hello, it's me again, I opened the ports and nothing has changed, a weird thing happens, when my phone is plugged into my mac, notifications work just fine.

I don't know if it's related and it's sound stupid, but on another phone (samsung) the dqy before my notificqtions stopped working on my phone I deactivated Facebook and messenger notifications of the same accounts I have on my iPhone, could this produce a bug like this?

I just restored my phone via iTunes and launch it as a new phone and still not working

I have not. What has me perplexed is that it works fine over cellular however does not over WiFi. Does this behavior happen on any WiFi connection or only one particular WiFi? When you are on this WiFi network then are you able connect to the internet and run your apps normally? If the answer is YES then I am truly perplexed. I can recommend rebooting your WiFi router and see if that makes a difference.
