airplay

Hello,

When I use Airplay between my iPhone 8 and LG smart-tv, it works.

When I try to connect my Macbook Air with the same LG smart-tv, it doesn't connect. In system preferences on my Macbook, it says 'AirPlay-screens: off' and I can't find a way to turn it on. Can someone help me? My Macbook is connected to the same WiFi network and has the software and system that's needed to use AirPlay. Thank you

Hello Cceyssens,

Thanks for posting. I understand you're having some issues with AirPlay from your Mac to a smart TV. Being able to AirPlay video is a great function, and I'll be glad to see if I can offer some assistance.

To clarify, which exact Mac model and software version are you using?

I recommend double-checking this resource to see if it helps as a starting point: If AirPlay or screen mirroring isn’t working on your device

If those steps don't help, I recommend creating a temporary administrator account next on your Mac. Then, test to see if the same behavior occurs there: How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac

Feel free to reply back with the results of testing.

Kind regards.
