Recovered messages

Hello

Under on my Mac I have two folders entitled recovered messages, both contain mails from various people companies. The messages/mails appear not to be duplicated in each folder. Some in each folder are from this year and others from last year. Would deleting these folders cause any problems to my mail? Most of the messages/mails in them I have deleted since the New Year. My guess is there would be no problem but I would like to check. I am using MacOSMojave 10.14.6. on my laptop
