Really need Shift+Click to select range in icon view.

I'm going to whip this dead horse a little more here.

The workflow I have going here really needs to have the ability to Shift+Click to select a range of photos in ICON view. I've read many many forums, but it doesn't seem to be anything apple is interested in implementing.

Does anyone have any kind of workaround knowledge about doing this? The Commander One app does it in it's finder window, but i need it to go system wide. Specifically in my web browser. When i list items on Ebay the add photos comes up with a standard finder like screen. That's where i would really like the select range ability. and going back and forth from list/column view to do it is time consuming. and i've read a lot of comments where people say that it can't be done in icon view because you can have the files places randomly in there, please don't use that excuse, it works fine on Windows.

Please any knowledge or any info on an app or browser extension would be much appreciated. and i've been leaving apple feedback about this forever, so i don't think they care to do anything about it.
