apple tv keyboard on iphone, autofill password only

Previously, when I wanted to enter password for apple tv, I'd receive a notification on my phone and when I click on that, I'd have a keyboard.

However recently (past few months I think), when the same thing happens, the notification on my phone only says auto refill password for apple tv. When I click on that, it asks for a code that also appears on tv (verification I guess) and then nothing. It doesn't bring me a keyboard to put the password. So basically I have to use apple tv to enter the password.

How can I disable autofill for passwords? I don't want any autofill. I just want the keyboard back on the phone for apple tv

Verify that both devices have the same iCloud account active, and are on the same home network, as well as having Bluetooth active. Keyboard Input is done through iCloud. There is also an On|Off switch on the mobile device in Settings﹥Notifications﹥Apple TV Remote Keyboard﹥.

Your iOS device might remember the password for services that you've logged in to with Safari before. You may choose to not use that autofill feature with its regular authentication (fingerprint or face ID or keychain password).

Yes they are both on the same iCloud account and my notifications for Apple TV Remote Keyboard is enabled. I actually get the notifications. It's just I don't know how to disable auto refill and bring the keyboard on the phone.

How can I not use it? When I click on the notification, it just asks to enter the verification code that tv shows, and then it can't login. I don't think it has the password to auto fill
