Turn Off Mission Control Permanently

I mistakenly invoke multiple desktops while swiping on the mouse. I never want this to happen. There are no use cases for me where I want a second desktop.. How can I turn off this multiple desktop/mission control feature permanently? I'm on Catalina.

How to disable additional desktops? I have no need of a 2nd desktop. Although sometimes a 2nd desktop is created if I open a second window, example: I am doing some sort of research and comparing results from 2 different sites, all of a sudden it creates a 2nd desktop moving one of the pages over to the 2nd desktop, making comparisons more difficult. I find this VERY annoying. I have gone to Preferences->Mission Control->and unchecked every box there but it still happens. I have no use for Mission Control either but of course there is no way to delete Mission Control. Anyone out there have any suggestions? Thank you for any assistance anyone is able to offer.

How to disable mission control There's a way to get rid of that pesky and annoying feature? I already have Ventura in my mac, but I can't find a way to eliminate spaces or mission control once for all.

Control Right/Left Arrow doesn't work in Mission Control (Catalina) I'm trying to set up Mission Control for multiple desktops, a feature I just discovered and love, but I can't get the shortcut Control + right arrow or left arrow to move between desktops. I've tried lots of things but nothing seems to resolve the issue. At the moment, I've disabled "move left a space" and "move right a space" in keyboard preferences but that has had no impact. The shortcuts "Switch to Desktop 1, 2, 3, etc. are supposed to work with Control +1, 2, 3, etc. are enabled, but they don't work either. I've searched in vain for tutorials on how to enable Control + Right Arrow (Left Arrow). Any suggestions? Thanks!
