Battery condition

i charge my ipod shuffle after not use 2 years, after about 5 hours battery status still in solid orange. Try play the music, about in 1 minute my ipod was shut down. Actually what happened to my ipod?

Recycle it responsibly. AFAIK battery replacement is not an option.

The battery has been degraded and will no longer be able to hold a charge.
