HomePod

I have just had to reset #1 of my HomePods and being it is a stereo speaker with #2 HomePod I reset them both. After I reset and they were back as normal I went into the settings of one to see if they'd been re-configured as stereo , I noticed that the symbol that appears in the middle of their two icons (to change L and R) was not there but yet they still worked as stereo when I tried them. Has the symbol to change the HomePods to L and R been removed?

It did ask me when I first paired the HomePod on one of the homepods if I wanted to create a stereo pair and I said yes. They are working in Stereo but I cannot chapnge the sides with the symbol that’s in the centre of the two HomePod icons because it’s not there paling with thewords ungroup
