My iPhone has the latest update and I’ve restarted several times. The icons on my dock on the touch screen no longer open when touched. When I touch them, the current app screen/window/wallpaper slides and shifts to the next one.
Also my keyboard has slowed down. Anything I can do to improve this?

Something could have gone wrong during your latest iOS update. I would try to install a fresh copy of IOS.
To do that, create a full backup of your iphone, then restore it to factory settings, and, in the end, set it up as new, following these instructions:--> Restore your iPhone,iPad, or iPod to factory settings – Apple Support
When done, test your dock area, WITHOUT restoring data from your backup, see what happens. If everything is okay, you can exclude a hardware failure. If the dosk icons are still unresponsive, it might be a hardware problem.
If it's okay, restore data form your previously made backup:--> Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup

Well, in such a situation, have your device inspected at an Apple STore or Authorized Service Provider.

Thanks. I’ve done most of this with the exception of deleting all apps in the dock and reinstalling as it’s clearly not an issue with the app, it’s something else because it’s only affecting apps in the dock. Also my keyboard is delayed- that’s not an app I can delete or restart. Something else is going on.
I seem to have fixed it by bending my phone. I think it’s an issue with the bottom of the touchscreen getting overused similar to the issue with the trackpads on the macbook pros. Keyboard is still delayed.
