No active Disney+ subscription after buying it

I can’t sign into Disney+ after buying it from the App Store; Disney customer service agents told me there’s no active subscription with the email I used to create the account. What gives? Whenever I try to log in I get sent to the choose a subscription page. I have the subscription and charge listed in the Apple settings and my bank account. Has anyone managed to fix this issue?
