smartkeyboard for ipad

The ipad smartkeyboard started having trouble when it was connected to the ipad. But after several attemps it worked. Now, it has completely stopped working and Apple do not offer support at all. And it was really an expensive keyboard!!

I also have smart keyboard failure with “accessory not recognised.” Been through all the options to fix including several calls with Apple support. Now asked to take it to technician during COVID19 restrictions. Can’t do this due to health and safety reasons. Or I can send IPad and keyboard using mail in option. This means probably no iPad for month when trying to work from home. So not viable either. And warranty runs out I. 10 days and Apple won’t extend it despite having reported the problem burning warranty period and the COVID19 restrictions applying. So much for Apple looking after their customers.
