Dead or/and stuck pixel on the OLED display when first gotten.
Hello,
Recently I have gotten the new 11 Pro Max, as of using it I didn't get the phone in AppleCare+ warranty because every device I owned has had AppleCare+ but were there for safety measures and I didn't get one for this device because I knew I will take care of my phone well as I used to within the previous generations of phones I owned.
As I didn't expect this to happen, with 25 percent or less screen brightness, there was a noticeable stuck pixel seen on the right hand side of my phone, more to the middle but more to the right side, as in between, and I only had realised it until I dimmed the brightness of my device, at first I thought it was just some dust that caught under the screen protector I applied, however, it wasn't the case and it was the actual OLED display that has the fault, at first I felt upset about it and just bothered me too much, secondly, I was concerned if the dead/stuck pixel will spread across the display of the device, and I don't even know if I should classify it as a dead pixel or a stuck pixel, it's a stuck pixel in the dim brightness and it's a dead pixel at 26% or higher brightness so I'll refer the anomaly as a dead and stuck pixel.
Now, the device has a limited waranty but it doesn't have AppleCare+, I already have contacted support firstly by chat, then talked to the sale's team about it and they said when the stores will be reopened on the 27th March, I would need to bring the device in to a genuis and relate to the case I had with the sale's team with proof by email I have, to show I already went through this procedure of knowing what to do.
I want to know from you individual's responses on if it's right to do that or there is something that you can do to resolve it, of course using pressure to alter that dead pixel to it's working order didn't work but is it alright to bring it to a genuis help support counter individual about it and is it right to get a new phone replacement to walk out the store with a new one alright or no?
To disclose : I never expected to recieve a faulty screen display but I have concerns for it and it bothers me a lot.
