My iPhone battery drains whenever I listen to Apple Music, but it drains significantly when I use the lyrics option. From listening to a 3-4 minute song, the battery drains by 10-30%. Is there a fix for this or something I need to do? When I check battery usage, I do not see Music listed as an issue. It also happens on my iPad as well.

I think this only works if you have an Apple Music subscription, which enables lyrics.

I noticed this was happening to me (iPhone 7 plus). When I turn on the lyrics option while listening to music the battery rapidly starts to drain. I thought it was my battery which was at 77% health...but I recently got a new replacement battery from Apple and I see the same issue using Lyrics. The phone can also feel very warm. I thought it was only me until I found this forum post. Are Apple really denying this is an issue??
I was reading another thread and they mentioned it might have something to do with the connection between their iPhone and Apple Watch. I have a original watch that is on an old os but does anyone here also have a watch?
No this doesn’t help. I thought it was my iPhone 7+ but turns out it’s the same problem in X
I ended up deleting the music app, rebooting my phone, then downloading the app again. Battery has been good for the last two days
