I am in desperate need of an upgrade from an iPhone 5s and I'm looking at the Xs 64gb. This has way more storage than I currently have but the fact that the other storage options for the Xs are so much bigger is making me feel a little nervous. Will it be enough? I have iCloud storage and largely want to use the phone for calls, photos and short video recordings. Will this 64gb plus iCloud be enough?

64GB has been enough for me personally. But you say “short video recordings”. We don’t know what “short” means, nor do we know the quantity.
Get what you can comfortably afford. Realize you cannot expand storage on the iPhone.
That depends on what you plan to keep on the phone; how many photos and videos? 64 GB isn’t much storage anymore. You should get as much as you can afford.
Thank you. It's more to be able to record as I will transfer to my MacBook Pro and I have an external hard drive I can store on. The 10s is my budget or I can get an older phone with lesser photo/film quality but more memory. I'd rather better quality but no point if the memory will not be sufficient...
