I have a HDD disk in my mac. It has 170 GB occuped. I want to change all to a SDD disk, that y have external (until i change them). I am making restore in Disk Utility from HDD to SDD, but it says:

"Restore process has failed. The destination does not have enough space. Click Done to continue."

My SDD is empty, i dont undestand. please help me. It has 240 GB of capacity.

I attach photos for you to see what i say.

If you have a Time Machine backup of the HDD, then replace the HDD with the SSD on the Mac, boot from the Time Machine, erase the whole SSD, and restore the TM backup to the SSD. The HDD is your 'safe' source.
