Delete mailbox

When I try to delete a mailbox in Mail, I get this message: The operation couldn't be completed. (MCMailErrorDomain error 1030.) I have restarted and tried again but no success.

Any suggestions?

iMac 21.5", macOS 10.13

Mailbox error message I have a mailbox that is a lighter shade of gray than any of the others. I can't move messages to it. When I try to delete it, however, I get the following message: The operation couldn’t be completed. (MCMailErrorDomain error 1030.) I tried creating a new mailbox with a different name to house the messages I wanted to organize, but mistakenly located it in a different folder. When I tried to delete it, I got the same message. So it seems I can't delete any mailbox. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Are you logged into WebMail in a Browser when you're trying?

You never did say which exact Mailbox, is it required by the Server?

I have the same issue using iCloud mail. i tried to log into iCloud from the browser to delete the folders and it just says can't be done right now. try again later. SO FRUSTRATING

I am using Mail on my iMac. I do not log in to Safari - iCloud - to use my Mail. Not sure what you mean by: is it required by the Server?

BDAqua, I don't think the issue is Mac based (see prior post). The same thing happens on my iOS devices - why if it's a Mac based problem???

I have contacted Apple Support as well. They were quite helpful. Let's see what they can figure out.

I tired to delete it again today. And it deleted. The escalation seems to have helped and a fix applied.
