AirPods pro - no sound with Samsung Smart TV

I have paired my AirPods Pro with my new Samsung smart TV, and it shows they’re connected, but I get no sound. I have previously paired other Bluetooth headphones with this TV and got sound just fine. My AirPods also work fine with my iPhone. How do I fix this?

Anyone got a fix for this? I USED to be able to connect, no problem but now it doesn’t work. It works with my Partner’s identical air pods pro. It connects. It makes the noise to say it has connected. Just no sound.

FIX: What was said about pairing close to the TV worked perfectly for me. No sound if I was 3 feet from the TV, but if I disconnected the headphones in Settings and held it next to the TV (I did it under the TV, because I figured the connector is on the backside of the TV and would be blocked by the screen portion of the TV. It worked perfectly at that point from quite a distance away.
