Access Machintosh HD - Data

it's happened after I downgraded to Mojave , I lost all of my datas but I have them on Machintosh HD - Data in disk utilities. , so I decided to upgraded to Catalina again but it's not worked, even though Machintosh HD - Data was successfully backup to external drives still can't access them. anyone can help?

Your screenshot appears to show a lack of files in the Documents folder of your internal startup drive.

Do you not have access to the files on the external drive?


As your preferences are now set, your external backup drive should show up on your desktop where you can navigate to your files. If so, can you not drag them into the Documents folder shown in the screenshot?


I don't think you used Mac OS Recovery to backup your data to your external drive. The utility doesn't do that. Was it maybe Time Machine that made your backup?
