Can't find purchase a purchase button or how to purchase music anymore.

the 'Buy' button as well as $ symbol no where to be found in iTunes. All it offers is 'download' instead of purchasability. When I click around there is nothing to be found & when I click on the [...] it shows no option to add it to store to purchase. I tested with music I don't like or want and there is an option to add to iTunes or the store. Whatgives???

I cannot find an answer on this thread. Also I cannot get past the advert 'Try it free', to go to the music store. Why has Apple made this more difficult? If it's not broken..

Too may steps have now been added that I feel like I'm using a PC.

Hi there, irma42!

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! That's a great question you have about still being able to purchase music directly from the iTunes Store. To be able to purchase music, you'll need to follow the steps in this article to Buy or download music from the iTunes Store in Music on Mac. Just be sure you're searching the iTunes Store and not Apple Music:

"If you don’t see iTunes Store, choose Music > Preferences, click General, make sure iTunes Store is selected, then click OK."

Also, if you don't want to see the option for Apple Music, open the Music app and in the Menu bar, go to Music > Preferences > Restrictions and disable Apple Music.

Have a great day!
