Why can I no longer copy and paste a message in messenger.? It used to work, no problem, now when I tap on a message to try to copy it, a bunch of emojis just show up, no paste option. It is so frustrating!,! Please help!!?

In this instance, you are asking us about a non-Apple software product, developed by a third-party, who have their own expert support. Any issues with non-Apple products are best directed to the most appropriate support group - and my advice attempted to direct you most appropriately.
If you were asking here about the Apple Messages App (or any other Apple product), being developed Apple, we would perhaps be the perfect group to provide knowable help and expert assistance.
Any issues with Facebook Messenger, or other third-party App, should be referred to their own support teams.
