Why does iTunes go on cutting off some songs of my library ramdomly?

Hi, somebody knows why iTunes cuts off some songs from my library and in case how to fix it? It's really annoying. Files are ok, I'm sure.

I have the same problem. Songs are randomly getting cut off and it is a mix of songs downloaded from 3rd party and songs downloaded from iTunes. The files are good. Ive even converted the 3rd party files to iTunes AAC files.

Hey there, and welcome to Apple Support Communities, fabvix!

From my understanding, some songs are being cut off when playing them in iTunes. I’d be happy to take a look at this with you, as I know how important it is that you’re able to listen to your favorite songs when you need them.

You mentioned that the files are okay, have you tried redownloading the songs that you mentioned? If you’re streaming those songs, and they aren’t downloaded, I’d recommend trying a different Wi-Fi network.

If you see an icon next to the song, Symbols used in iTunes on Mac - Apple Support can help you to determine the problem with the song and help resolve it.

If the steps above don’t help, let me know more about what’s occurring. For example, are the songs downloaded or streamed? Are you using Sync Library with iTunes?

Kindest regards!

We appreciate the update, fabvix!

Just to confirm, are you using file formats that are compatible with iTunes? If you’re not sure, check out: Choose import settings in iTunes on Mac - Apple Support Also, after downloading the songs, did you complete the import process in the previous article?

Additionally, if this only occurs with songs that are downloaded from third-party websites, you may need to contact the developers for assistance.

Have a great day!

Hi, thanks for your reply.

Songs are downloaded and if listened with another player they work perfectly. They are not downloaded through iTunes Store though.

And no icon is present next to the songs affected. Actually there isn't any rule by which one song is cut off and another is not. Sometimes happens, sometimes not.

It's quite frustrating.
